Enjoy your summer holidays

Well that's it then for another season. We wish good luck to all our Primary 7s at High School and hope they have enjoyed their few weeks of High School basketball sessions and that they continue with their basketball next year. Could this be the year the High School win the Scottish Cup? We have just finished the Primary 4 taster sessions and look forward to welcoming them into the Club in the Primary 5 sessions next year. Also this year for this first time we have run some girls only sessions to encourage more girls to take up the game and we hope many of the girls from these sessions will join the Club next season. So keep up with your basketball over the summer, whether its going to one of the Summer Camps or just playing in the garden! There will be lots of basketball to watch over the summer with the Olympics this year, also watch out for former Club members Gregor Gray and Ali Mackay. Gregor is playing in two European Championships over the summer, one with the Scotland Under 16 team and one with the Scotland Under 18 team. Ali is playing for Scotland Senior Men in the Small Nations Championships in San Marino. Watch out for news of how they get on via the basketballscotland website. Have a great summer!

Stevie Duff

It is much sadness that we heard yesterday about the sad passing of Stevie Duff. Without a doubt there would be no North Berwick Basketball Club without Stevie's support when he was the East Lothian Basketball Development Officer. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Law Primary triumph at Lothians Schools Tournament

Congratulations to the Law Primary basketball team who were the winners of the Lothians Schools Tournament at Meadowmill on Wednesday 9th May. The team played teams from East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian. They beat St Peter's Primary from Edinburgh by 19 points to 12 in the final.  Well done to Coach Marie Caie and all the players.

Junior Jam final day and Green v White

Well it just wasn't North Berwick 1's night at North Berwick on Friday night. In an epic game both teams were neck and neck until the final whistle when Haddington won by one basket.  Whilst disappointing for North Berwick is was great to see such a good game for the final.  So well done to Haddington and hopefully North Berwick will be back in the final next year.  The North Berwick 2 team also put in a storming performance and are much improved over the season.  There are some photos from the night at the top of this website.

Teams for Friday 26/4/12

The Green v White and the finals of the Junior Jam are in North Berwick Sports Centre this Friday. Please check the previous posts for the exact timings.  It would be great if everyone could come along at 7pm for the whole session but please note the times of the games our teams are involved in.  This means that the North Berwick 2 players must be there for 7.30 at the latest and North Berwick 1 players for 7.45pm at the latest.  As usual bring along plenty to drink (water only please) and £2 to cover the referee costs. Please make sure you inform Marie if your circumstances change and you can't play. The teams are as follows :
