First Junior Jam of the season Friday 25th October

Welcome back to the first Junior Jam of the 2013/14 season. For those that are new to the Junior Jam, its held at Knox Academy, enter by the Sports entrance. Each plays at least 2 games against other Clubs in East Lothian. We have a Primary 6 team (North Berwick 2)and a Primary 7 team (North Berwick 1). Each team pays £1 / game to cover the referee costs, strips are supplied by us.

Please arrive for 17:50 for a 18:00 warm up, we should finish at 20:00. Please remember lots of water and £2 for the referees.

End of season awards and Junior Jam champions

Pictured above are our award winners for the season 2012-13. As ever Marie and her coaches had some tough choices to make as we have so many players who have performed well this year. The winners' were :

Primary 5

Primary 6

• Coaches' award (boys) - Sam Edwards

Primary 7

• MVP - Finlay Mackenzie

The season culminated in a very close and exciting playoff for Junior Jam champions between NB1 and NB2. After a nail biting game, NB1 emerged as victors and were crowned Junior Jam champions. A fabulous achievement for the Club to provide both finalists and a tribute to the strength of basketball in North Berwick. Some photos from the game can be seen above.

Well done to everyone this season and good luck to the Primary 7s at High School. See you back at the Club on Thursday 29th August.

Junior Jam Play Offs

Friday 14th June sees the culmination of the Junior Jam season as the games as played to settle who will take 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. The good news is that North Berwick are guaranteed a first and second place as the playoff is between North Berwick 1 and North Berwick 2. The even better news is that it is in North Berwick Sports Centre! The full programme of events is :

• 19:00 - 19:15 Warm ups
• 19:15 - 19:45 Musselburgh/Tranent v Haddington (3rd and 4th place)
• 19:50 - 20:20 North Berwick 1 v North Berwick 2 (1st and 2nd place)
• 20:25 - 20:35 Presentations
• 20:35 - 21:00 Development Squads v Coaches game

Last Junior Jam Friday 31st May

The last Junior Jam of the season is at Knox Academy this Friday. The current standings in the Junior Jam are North Berwick 1 in first place and North Berwick 2 in 3rd place. Please aim to arrive at 5.45pm and bring along plenty to drink (water only please) and £2 to cover the referee costs. Please make sure you inform Marie if your circumstances change and you can't play as we always have plenty of people who want to play. The teams are as follows :
