Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This week sees our final session before we break for the Christmas holidays and the coaches and committee would like to take this opportunity to wish all the players and parents a fantastic Christmas and New Year. Looking forward to seeing you all at the first session back on the 19th of January.

Please keep an eye on your email and the website as the first Junior Jam of 2012 is on the 20th January so Jeanette will be in touch to see who can play and the teams will be posted on the website on the 18th January.

No sessions today (8th December)

As the schools are closing at 12noon today, we have taken the decision to also cancel all sessions today. This seems the most sensible option as people are being advised not to travel dring 3pm and 6pm.

Next week is the last session before the Christmas break.

Scottish Cup comes to North Berwick Sports Centre

This Sunday (27th November) at 2.20pm sees the East Lothian Peregrines Under 16 Men's team play host to the City of Edinburgh Kings in the Scottish Cup. There will be ex-club players in both teams including current coaches Findlay Graham and Chris McHardy in the East Lothian team. So why not come along and catch the action. Welcome to the new season

Welcome to the new season to all our P6 and P7 members. We look forward to welcoming our new P5 members on the 8th September. This year we have some new coaches joining us, Sandy Watson, Ross Wilson, Pete Jeffries, Chris McHardy and Findlay Graham. There is a lot happening in basketball at u11 and u12 level this year, so it should be an exciting year ahead. We will keep you posted on anything coming up but its worth checking out the East Lothian and basketball scotland websites on a regular basis as well. You can find the links to these website on the right hand side of this website.

End of season

Hope everyone enjoyed the last session of the 2010/11 season, great to see so many ex-club members back! Congratulations to all our award winners and a sad goodbye to our Primary 7s, good luck in High School and keep up the basketball! Goodbye also to our coaches, Niall and Ruaridh who are both off to university, they will be a hard act to follow! Hope everyone has a great summer and look forward to welcoming the P5s and P6s back after the holidays.

East Lothian u12s news

Congratulations to the boys and girls from the Club who played for East Lothian in the U12 National Challenge. The boys' team were runners up to Paisley and the girls' team were 7th. As part of this tournament, the top 25 boys and the top 25 girls in Scotland were being selected and invited to a National Future Starz camp in July. Well done to Ben McHardy, Niamh Mackle and Imogen Cook on their selection. Rebecca Price from Law Primary was also invited to the camp.

Green v White Friday 1st April

Basketball masterclasses!

The club were delighted to welcome Luis Romero on his first visit to North Berwick on Thursday. Luis carried out a dribbling masterclass and was so impressed by the club members and enjoyed his visit so much that he has asked to come back over the next two months and do a passing masterclass and a shooting masterclass. Guest coach - Thursday 10th February

We delighted to announce that Luis Romero will be visiting us a guest coach next Thursday (10th February). Luis as well as being the new East and Central Regional Basketball Coordinator for basketballscotland is the coach of the U16 girls Scotland squad. Information for those in EL U12 squads

The dates and venue for the U12 tournament that the East Lothian squads are training for has been set for Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May 2011 at Deans Community High School, Livingston. The girls' squad will be playing on one day and the boys' squad on the other, no information as to which will be Saturday and which will be Sunday yet.

Junior Jam cancelled on Friday 28th January

Please note that the Junior Jam is cancelled this Friday. Next set of games will be on February 18th.

Late cancellation of tournament on 16th January

Unfortunately the tournament scheduled for the 16th January was cancelled. All players affected have been contacted directly. Many apologies to all concerned for the short notice.

North Berwick are representing East Lothian in the first of a series of one day tournaments which will allows teams from across the East and Central Region to compete at under-12 level. Normally it will be the East Lothian under-12 boys and girls team which will compete in these tournaments but as East Lothian training hasn't started yet, North Berwick were asked to put a team forward for the January games. Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone at the club. There is no training this Thursday as the Blood Donor Service are using the hall so training will start on 20th January. As our friendly against Portobello on the 21st has been cancelled our first games are now on the 28th January. Some of our players are representing East Lothian on Sunday 16th January - good luck to everyone.
